Sophie Kerr

Sophie oversees the day-to-day communications for several clients in the non-profit and public sectors.

Prior to joining, MDR, she was the marketing and communications officer at King’s-Edgehill School, Canada’s oldest independent school. In addition to her day-to-day roles, she played a key role in updating the school’s guiding principles and supported the development of its latest strategic plan to align with long-term institutional goals.

Previously, she worked in communications and change management at Shared Services Canada, where she contributed to engagement strategies. She also worked as a campaign associate with the United Way of Halifax, focusing on donor relations and fundraising, and as a marketing assistant with the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth, supporting outreach and public relations.

Sophie began her career as a junior economic development officer with the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, where she assisted in regional economic initiatives supporting business growth and innovation.

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University.
