Australian company joins critical event addressing AI’s real-world impact on the regulatory sector

MDR Strategy Group Ltd., hosts of the AI in Regulation Conference 2026, is pleased to announce that Australian company, Objective Corporation, will attend the February 2-3 event in Toronto as Co-Host.

Objective is a technology company working extensively with public authorities and regulators in complex regulatory, justice, and compliance environments. Its RegWorks platform is purpose-built for regulators, supporting licensing, compliance, investigations, enforcement, and regulatory decision-making in ways that strengthen accountability, transparency, and public trust.

“What began as an intended convening of Canadian regulators has become a global event because the challenges AI presents to regulation are shared across jurisdictions,” said Daniel Roukema, CEO of MDR Strategy Group. “Objective’s decision to serve as Co-Host reflects a shared understanding that AI in regulation is a public-interest issue that requires global leadership and action now.”

Delegates and speakers will join the conference from North America, Europe, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region, underscoring that AI in regulation is no longer a local or technical discussion, but a matter of public authority and public trust worldwide.

Alongside twenty senior leaders from Canadian regulatory bodies attending as speakers and moderators, participation has been confirmed from the United Nations on the Global Leadership panel, alongside the Federation of State Medical Boards from the United States, and a senior Australian regulatory leader advancing AI technology, with the session moderated by CORU from Ireland. The program also includes a featured conversation with a leading authority on AI in nursing from Duke University, and keynote addresses from the CEOs of the Global Centre on AI Governance and the Indigenomics Institute.

The AI in Regulation Conference is among the first of its kind globally to focus on how AI is already shaping regulatory decision-making and the exercise of public authority. Decisions involving AI in licensing, investigations, enforcement, and access to services have real consequences for individuals, communities, and confidence in regulatory institutions, and require careful governance today.

The conference will take place in Toronto in February 2026. Registration for the AI in Regulation Conference 2026 remains open. Register here: www.mdrstrategy.ca/ai2026/home
