We’re helping regulatory bodies navigate AI through governance, strategy, training, and sector-leading dialogue.
Artificial intelligence is already reshaping how decisions are made, risks are assessed, and regulatory systems are designed. For public-interest organizations, and especially for regulatory bodies, the challenge is no longer whether AI will have an impact. It is how to govern, regulate, and respond to that impact in ways that protect the public, preserve trust, and support sound decision-making.
MDR Strategy Group has taken a leadership role in helping regulatory bodies prepare for this shift, both in how they govern AI internally and in how they respond to its growing implications within the professions and sectors they oversee. Our work sits at the intersection of AI, governance, regulation, and public-interest leadership, with a focus on practical, thoughtful, and accountable adoption.
Organizations from across Canada and abroad are increasingly seeking our counsel to train boards and leadership teams, support strategic planning, develop governance and policy frameworks, assess public-interest risks, and provide advisory support on AI in regulation. We help organizations ask the questions that matter most: Where is oversight required? How should accountability be maintained? What safeguards need to be in place? How can trust be preserved as AI becomes more embedded in decision-making and operations?
We are also helping shape the broader global conversation on AI and regulation through conference leadership, sector dialogue, training, and thought leadership. MDR has convened influential events and discussions that are helping regulators, governance leaders, technologists, and public-interest professionals better understand what responsible AI adoption should look like in practice.
This work is led by Melissa Peneycad, MDR’s Director of Public Engagement and AI Strategy, an accomplished author and internationally recognized voice in AI, leadership, and responsible innovation.
