This is MDR Strategy Group’s second national conference, designed for regulators, by regulators, and it builds on the momentum of last year’s event in Toronto.

Our first conference introduced the sector to the basics of artificial intelligence and highlighted emerging use cases in regulation.

This time, we’re moving the conversation forward. From awareness to action means shifting from exploring the possibilities of AI to making clear, informed decisions about adoption, oversight, and implementation.

What you can expect

This conference will help regulators act with confidence. You’ll gain:

  • Current insights into the AI landscape
  • Practical frameworks for governance and oversight
  • Case studies from regulators who are already experimenting with AI
  • Opportunities to connect with peers across Canada and internationally

We’re also introducing two new elements based on attendee feedback:

  • Pre-conference workshop: A full-day training for council members and senior leaders on AI governance.
  • The Regulator’s Table: An evening reception to connect with peers and speakers before the main event.
